The Energy of Love

The Energy of Love

I have been studying energy for 21 years. Yesterday, I was on a call with Mavis Karn of Michael Neill’s Supercoach Academy. Mavis is a true treasure in life. Her energy is so powerful that it opened something in me that allowed me to understand energy in a way I never have before.

The best way I can describe this energy is the energy of love. It is the feeling of seeing a baby smile or a puppy play. We can experience it in so many ways. When watching a beautiful sunset. Tasting a delicious meal cooked by someone who made it with care and the freshest ingredients. Feeling the warm smile of a stranger passing you on the street. Laughing so hard with a friend that you wet your pants.

I realize what I have always wanted to do is to help people return to their nature and discover this universal love. I believe it is what we all long for. Why we do everything we do. We all want to experience this feeling of love.

I have learned that when people bring this energy to what they do, magic happens. Conflicts resolve, creation happens and life becomes easy, rich and beautiful. I have come to understand that when we stop thinking, we return to our true nature. Our true nature is part of this universal intelligence that creates all of life. Returning to our true nature is so magnificent. I really can’t even begin to describe it. The feeling is so wonderful. It leaves me speechless and filled with laughter and joy. When we are connected to our true nature, we will know what to do, when when to do it, what to say, and how to say it.

I have never wanted to talk about this energy of love. It seemed silly to my ego. Yet after experiencing myself with Mavis, I now know the truth of this energy. All I want to do is experience more of this and point others to it.

If you would like to experience more love in your life and bring more love to what you do, please call me.

For this month’s blog I am sharing with you a letter Mavis wrote to the kids she worked with for two years in a youth prison as a gift to them.

I hope it impacts you as much as it impacted me. I asked my children to read it, read it often, and read it to their children.

Lots of love to you,

Dear Kids (and former kids),

I have a secret to tell you, Nobody meant to keep it from you…It’s just that it’s been one of those things that’s so obvious that people couldn’t see it…like looking all over for the key that you have in your hand.

The secret is that you are already a completely whole, perfect person. You are not damaged goods, you are not incomplete, you are not flawed, you are not unfinished, you do not need remodeling, fixing, polishing or major rehabilitation. You already have within you everything you need to live a wonderful life. You have common sense, wisdom, genius creativity, humor, self esteem…you are pure potential…you are missing nothing.

The only thing that can keep you from enjoying all that you already are is a thought. One thought, your thought. Not someone else’s thought. Your thought . . . Whatever thought you are thinking at the moment that feels more important to think than feeling grateful, alive, content, joyful, optimistic, loving and at peace. . . that’s the only thing that’s between you and happiness.

And guess who’s in charge of your thinking? Guess who gets to decide where you attention goes? Guess who gets to write, produce, direct and star in the moment you’re in the middle of? You! Just you. Not your past (stored thought), not the future (did you ever notice that it never, ever shows up?), not your parents (they all think their own thoughts), or your friends (ditto), or school or television or situations or circumstances or anthing else. Just you.

Thinking is an awesome capability. Like any capability it can be used wither as a tool or as a weapon against ourselves and others. And just like with any other tool, we can tell whether we’re using it for or against ourselves by how it feels. When we think against ourselves or others, we get in trouble. When we don’t, we usually stay out of trouble.

So, please remember that your thoughts are not always telling you the truth. When we’re in low moods, feeling down, our thoughts are not be be trusted…our IQ drops. When our thoughts pass and we lighten up, our thinking is once again creative, positive…our IQ goes up. The only way you can feel badly about yourself and your life is if you think badly about them…it’s up to you, every single minute you’re alive. It’s always up to you! This is the best, most liberating secret I ever learned, and I want you to know it too.
