Leading Through a Quiet Season: What My Calendar—and the 18th Gene Key—Taught Me About Integrity

It’s been a slower season for me. Fewer client sessions. Less income. More space than I’m used to.

There have been moments where I’ve looked at my calendar and felt that familiar flicker of panic—What’s wrong? Why isn’t anything moving? And then the stories start: You should be doing more. Maybe you're not needed right now. Maybe you're failing.

But lately, I’ve been sitting with something from the 18th Gene Key that’s cracked me open in the best way:

“The secret of this Shadow is the gradual realization that your outer life is your greater body.”

What if nothing is wrong?
What if this pause is my body speaking?

Not just the physical body—but my greater body. The life around me. The systems I move through. The space I hold. The calendar I obsess over. The money, the clients, the silence, the timing.

If my outer life is my greater body, then maybe this slowness is not a problem. Maybe it’s an invitation. A recalibration. A detox. A reset. A place where old patterns of pushing and proving can finally dissolve.

Because here’s the truth: judgment lives loudest in these quiet moments.
The mind wants to judge the pause.
To fix it.
To prove its worth.

But what I’m discovering—imperfectly, quietly, one breath at a time—is that my life is reflecting back to me what’s ready to be seen and loved. Not what needs to be improved. Just what needs to be held.

This is the work I do with leaders.
We look at the judgments—not to feed them, but to free them.
We soften into integrity.
We move from reactivity to responsiveness.
We learn to trust the wisdom of the greater body.

So here I am, trusting.
Listening.
Letting the slow season be medicine.
Letting the pause be part of the perfection.

If you’re in your version of this—financially, emotionally, creatively—you’re not alone.
And you’re not broken.

Your greater body is speaking.
And it might just be telling you the truth you’ve been trying to outrun.

Call to Action

If you're a leader or creative in a season of slowing down, questioning, or quietly unraveling old patterns, you don’t have to navigate it alone. I work with people who are learning to trust themselves in the in-between spaces—where clarity emerges and something deeper begins to lead.

If that resonates, I invite you to book a clarity session with me. Let’s listen together to what your greater body might be saying.
