The Moment I Arrived: A Soul-Led Reflection on Spirit and Spiritual Autonomy
Yesterday, in my Path of the Mystic class through the Art of the Seer Academy, I had a moment of quiet arrival.
When I first joined the Academy over a year ago, this was the class that drew me in. I didn’t know what it was about or what it would require of me. I just knew it was mine. I could feel it.
But I couldn’t take it right away.
I had to complete five foundational courses, attend practicums, practice seeing and clearing, and build the capacity to meet the class — and myself — fully. That took time. Devotion. Patience.
I didn’t “decide” to keep going. Something deeper did.
My spirit had already chosen.
There’s a part of me I can’t explain — a steady presence that led me through this journey, even when I didn’t fully understand it. The part that signs me up before my mind catches up. The part that doesn’t need a reason.
That’s the part that got me here.
What Spirit Means to Me Now
In the Academy, spirit is described as the eternal, individualized aspect of who we are — the real self, beyond identity, emotion, or memory.
I’ve come to feel that truth in my bones.
My spirit is:
Not defined by my history or habits
Always connected to the source of love and truth
Distinct, whole, and uniquely resonant
Loving and intelligent in ways the mind can’t always follow
A presence that speaks through knowing, feeling, seeing — subtle, clear, and deep
So much of the work I’ve done — in the Academy and in my own life — has been about releasing what isn’t mine: old pictures, old conditioning, old roles. When that clears, I can feel my spirit animate me more fully. I feel present. Quietly powerful.
More myself than ever — not as an identity, but as a deep inner yes.
Living from Spiritual Autonomy
One of the most radical teachings I’ve received — and continue to practice — is spiritual autonomy.
It’s not a concept to me. It’s a way of living.
I am the authority of my own energy, my own vision, my own experience.
I don’t need someone else to validate my truth.
I don’t need to be more anything — more healed, more ready, more spiritual — to be whole.
My energy is sovereign.
My body belongs to my spirit.
I am the seer.
There is no hierarchy in presence.
There is only the responsibility and freedom of tuning into my own frequency.
In practice, that looks like:
Saying no, even when it’s inconvenient
Trusting what resonates, even if no one else gets it
Releasing the need to fix or manage or prove anything
Listening to my inner knowing and letting that be enough
This is how I live now. This is how I walk.
How This Shapes My Work
Everything I’ve shared here — every moment of trust, devotion, clarity, and letting go — is woven into the way I hold space for others.
When someone comes to me burned out or at a threshold in their career…
When a sensitive leader says they’ve lost their voice…
When a visionary can’t see through the noise…I don’t offer strategies.
I don’t give answers.
I don’t position myself as the authority.Instead, I listen.
I reflect.
I walk beside them, while they return to the part of themselves that already knows.Because your spirit isn’t missing.
It’s right there, waiting for space to lead. And when it does, everything changes.
If you’re ready to return to your knowing, I’d be honored to walk beside you.
